Provi Chat allows you to contact your sales rep directly through Provi.
Whether you’re inquiring about the status of your order, asking for a new tap handle or requesting samples, Provi Chat helps you to centralize communication while staying organized and saving time.
Note: If you need to message about a specific order, you might prefer Provi’s Order Messaging feature. Order Messaging allows you to contact the rep directly through the order in question, though it is not available for all distributors.
Where do I find Provi Chat?
To access Provi Chat, open the main menu on the upper left hand side of your screen and click on Provi Chat.
How do I send and respond to messages?
To start a new conversation, click New Message, located in the left side menu. Search for and select your sales rep, then click Next to continue.
Please note: Only Sales Reps with email addresses in Provi can be sent messages via Provi Chat. If you cannot find your Sales Rep then you will need to add their information.
When your rep responds, you will be notified via email, as well as in the chat icon on the menu bar. You can reply back to the rep either by opening Provi Chat, or by replying to the email notification itself.
Your order history is also transcribed to Provi Chat, providing helpful context as you communicate with your rep.
How do my Provi Chat messages appear to my rep?
All of your Provi Chat messages are sent to your rep exclusively via email. Your rep has to have a valid email in Provi in order for them to receive your chat. This email will contain your contact name, account name, account address and account number.
If your rep does not have an email address associated with their account, you will be prompted to add one. Once finished entering in the sales rep email hit "Save".
How do I manage my notification settings?
Customize your notifications for Provi Chat in the same way you would with any other notifications via Provi.
- Login to Provi
- Click on the Menu button in the upper right corner of any page on Provi
- Click on Settings
- Click on Notifications in the left sidebar
- Under email notifications, switch the toggle off for “A distributor has sent you a new message”
- Now you will not receive email notifications if a rep sends you a message, but you will still receive notifications in Provi.
Why can't I find my Rep?
If you're unable to find your rep via search, that means they have not yet been added to Provi. Link your rep to Provi and message freely.
